How to cook rice



 Cooking the perfect rice can be tricky, but here's a basic recipe to help you achieve great results:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice in cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a medium-sized pot, add the rice, water, and salt.
  3. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.
  4. Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
  5. Let the rice simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until all the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender.
  6. Once the rice is done, remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.

You can adjust the cooking time or the amount of water used depending on the type of rice and your personal preference. Experiment with different seasonings and ingredients to create unique variations of this classic dish.
